President George Bush writes Alejandro Monteverde to congratulate him on Bella’s accomplishments. Alejandro Monteverde is the director of Bella and recipient of the Smithsonian’s “Legacy Award”. Monteverde was invited to join the first lady in her private Box during the State of the Union address this year after he received the “American By Choice “Award from the department of Citizenship and Immigration at a White House ceremony for his positive contribution to America as a new citizen.
